Meet the Coaches
Coach Bill LeClair
Bill LeClair, a native of Gurnee, IL, played NCAA lacrosse at Defiance College for three years and served as team captain his sophomore and junior year. Coach LeClair currently serves as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Centenary College of Louisiana. His previous NCAA coaching experience includes serving as the Assistant Coach for Centenary from 2019-2021, and Associate Head Coach in 2021 before being promoted to Head Coach in the fall of 2021.
Other coaching stints- Coach LeClair was the head coach for the Lake County Select 14U summer team in 2014, 2015, and 2018. LeClair also coached at Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Ill. for a year as the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach, and then served as Head JV and Assistant Varsity Coach for Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Ill. for a year.
During his time at Warren Township, the team was runner-up for the 2019 State Championship, a first in school history. Coach LeClair was also the Director of Lacrosse at Camp Starlight located in Starlight, Penn., in the summer of 2019.
Coach LeClair also currently serves as a Director/Coach for our Louisiana Elite Lacrosse program.
Coach LeClair is married to Ellen Reid LeClair, a former Centenary Athletics employee who started the cheer and dance program in 2019. They have a son, Reid, who was born on Nov. 3, 2023.
Coach Steve Martino
Coach Steve Martino enters his first season as assistant coach for Centenary College Men’s Lacrosse and serves as the defensive coordinator.
Martino, a Bossier City native, also serves as commissioner of the Louisiana High School Lacrosse League and Director/Coach of the Louisiana Elite Lacrosse Club Program. Martino graduated from Airline High School and LSUS where he played goalie for the Pilots from 1998-2001. He has two children – Megan and Nicholas.

Coach Garrett Faktor
Coach Faktor is currently in his second year as an assistant coach for Centenary College Men’s Lacrosse, where he serves as the offensive coordinator for the Gents.
Coach Faktor is a Shreveport, LA native, and spent his playing years playing as an attackman for Captain Shreve HS, where he served as a captain during his junior and senior seasons.
Coach Faktor began his coaching career in 2018, serving as an assistant at Captain Shreve HS. He was promoted to Head Coach in the fall of 2019, and served as Head Coach until the summer of 2023. During his time with Capt. Shreve, Coach Faktor led the Gators to their first playoff appearance in 6 years, and had 6 players make LHSLL All-District, and 9 players make LHSLL All-State.
Beginning in the summer of 2021, Coach Faktor began coaching with FTK Lacrosse as an assistant offensive coach, where he spent 2 years with the club lacrosse program. During his time with FTK, Coach Faktor spent two summers coaching the class of 2023 regional team, as well as the 2022/2023 and 2024/2025 FTK National Teams.
Coach Faktor and his wife, Katie Faktor, a Bossier Parish teacher, currently reside in Shreveport, LA , and have 3 children, 1 toddler and twin girls- Bear, Sunday, and Cecelia.
Coach Faktor, along with Coach LeClair and Coach Martino, founded Louisiana Elite Lacrosse in 2022 with the intent to serve any and all Louisiana-native players who were looking to continue their development during the summer and fall, without the hefty prices of most club lacrosse programs.
While their intent was to solely serve Louisiana, they have now grown into regions outside of the state, including but not limited to- Little Rock, AR, Tyler, TX, and Dallas, TX, and will continue to provide opportunities to any and all players in the southern region who would like to continue their development under NCAA coaches.
